and finding the humorIn a previous post I shared a couple posters from a series by Anneke Short titled "Confessions of a Graphic Designer." I have decided to use some of my own experiences as a designer to do something similar. At work our main form of communication is email, which conveniently stockpiles all the encrypted gems I am fortunate enough to decipher. I hope you get a little chuckle from these emails that I have actually received from people at one time or another. I understand that not all people know the ins and outs of "graphic designer lingo" and I do not expect them to. The purpose of this is not to poke fun, but to help me keep it light and recognize the humor in everyday activities that can become mundane. The plan is to add to this series over span of time, there is not an exact science to determine when great inspiration will arrive in my inbox taking the form of an email. This first example needs some more work, but it is a good jumping off point for me. If I post it, then there is more pressure to keep going! |
