Back to work from taking a few days off to celebrate Christmas and the birth of our Savior, what a wonderful holiday! I continued with the volleyball tournament shirts, and have a few more completed. The client I am working with is a woman of few words, but she seems to be pleased with the designs she has seen so far. Take a peek for yourself.
Challenge tournament
Since Ms. Client is playing the "give you no feedback" game I don't know what the "challenge tournament" theme should be. Climbing mountains seems like quite a challenge to me so I thought it wouldn't hurt to try.
snowflake tournamentThe concept for this one came together in my head. I often prefer to think about my designs while I am doing other things throughout the day, and make some mental "sketches" before I begin. After I settled on the composition I wanted to give the appearance of a cut paper illustration. Cut paper illustrations are captivating, but time consuming. It was a successful and time saving move to use the computer. |
First thoughts for this shirt went to the Queen of Hearts from Alice and Wonderland, and Valentine's day cards. Let the Google image search begin. Though my reconnaissance mission I began to have other notions, combining cards and the Queen of Hearts. Playing card games is one of my favorite things to do when I am spending time with friends and family, so from there the idea developed., I sketched this one out first.
